Kadai Paneer  (paneer sabzi) is a very popular north Indian dish liked by most people the family wherever going to the restaurant this is one of the most common dishes ordered in a restaurant. It is spicy and delicious and best to serve with naan or rumali roti. Here we learn how to make a restaurant-style  Kadai Paneer recipe.

Ingredients: to Prepared Kadai  paneer masala

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 15 dry black peppers
  • 3 Kashmiri red chilies, dried

Ingredients: for paneer Puree:

  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1-inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 15 cashews
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¾ tsp chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • water as required to blend

Ingredients: for Paneer kadai:

  • 3/4 tsp oil
  • ½ onion, cubed
  • ½ capsicum, cubed
  • salt to taste
  • ½ cup water, or as required
  • 9 Paneers, cubes
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp kasuri methi / dry fenugreek leaves, crushed
  • 3 tbsp cream

kadai masala recipe:

  1. firstly, in a kadai, dry roast coriander seeds and 2-3 dry red chilies 1 tsp cumin seeds, 15-20 black peppers and until slightly browned and a nice aroma starts to come.
  2. Grind to make a slightly coarse powder

 Puree recipe (tomato-onion):

  1. Heat oil in a pan roast ginger and garlic, Add onion and fry till translucent.

  2. Add tomato puree and tomato and fry for 2-3 minutes.

  3. now add few cashews and fry again.
  4. also add turmeric, chilli powder, and salt.
  5. lastly, cool completely and blend to smooth puree.

paneer kadai recipe:

  1. in a kadai, heat 3 tsp of oil and fry cubed onions and capsicum.
  2. now add blended tomato-onion puree and get to a boil for 2 minutes.
  3. add 2-3 tsp of prepared kadai masala.
  4. add required salt and water.
  5. cook covered for 5 minutes.
  6. now add paneer and mix gently.
  7. furthermore, add garam masala, kasuri methi and cream.
  8. finally, serve kadai paneer hot with garlic naan or chapathi.

Tips to note:

  • Keep paneer immersed in hot water until before you cook.
  • Cook capsicum without changing its crunchiness.ginger and garlic 
  • You can add in the piece of ginger.Use one tsp.
  • You can also add cubed tomatoes.
